In this day and age, everyone has access to a million (6 million to be exact) different travel companies, pricing, packages, and airfares. Why bother with a travel agent?

There are some really good reasons to still use a travel agent, and no reason you shouldn’t do your research, too! If you like to research dates, flights, packages, and prices, you definitely should. But, booking online can be another issue altogether.

Many companies are not legitimate. Anyone can purchase a domain name, slap up a website, and charge what they want for something they do not actually have. With a reputable and knowledgeable agent, you’ll have confidence in what you are booking but also their years of experience with what companies are legitimate and which ones are not.

A travel agent can tailor your trip to you! They can recommend sightseeing you might never have thought of, or known to research. They often will have firsthand knowledge of the area you wish to travel to.

A travel agent doesn’t cost you extra. If you’re purchasing a cruise, booking a hotel, or touring South America, they do not charge you anything extra! So why use a travel agent? I so, why not use a travel agent! Most will have many years of experience under their belt and know the ins and outs to save you more money on any type of travel.

The Internet is a great tool for research, but sometimes facts aren’t facts and a “too good to pass up trip” is not what it seemed. Call an expert. Ask their advice. Use a travel agent.
