Have you ever taken a vacation and looked back at pictures and memories of it and thought, that’s my favorite vacation? What were the components that

made up that vacation? Was it where you went? Was it who you traveled with? Was it the culture of where you went? Maybe, it was everything combined.

That’s what makes a great vacation. Learning something about the area and yourself comes with every vacation, but looking back at it and thinking “that was the best ever” doesn’t always happen.

That’s where knowing WHY you want to go somewhere is often key to the success of your trip. If you want to go to Australia, but just want to because it’s somewhere you’ve never been, you might not get the most out of being there.

Knowing “why” helps you understand what is there to see, the history, the culture, the language, that’s all part of making a great trip! It also helps with knowing WHAT to see as well. If you don’t research your destination a little bit, you might miss some of the truly spectacular things about that location! Imagine going to Australia and not seeing the Outback, the Great Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock or Alice Springs, or realizing you could hop over to New Zealand for a couple of days as it is “right there!”

The more you know about where you are going, the more you will enjoy it. I would love to help you in your next journey, whether it’s for advice, planning, or research! Did you know, I never charge you for my services? The tour companies, hotels, etc. pay travel consultants!
