I’m a member of several travel groups…people talking about their travels, ideas, adventures, and problems. I recently ran across a ladies blog about her year long travels.

So many people talk about how they’d love that! (and yes, I have my moments, too!) But you should remember, even a year’s worth of travel can get old, or have moments you wished you were at home, or something bad has happened and you’re stuck somewhere you want to escape. (Storms closing airports, lost passports, lost luggage, stolen monies, etc.)

She has some great advice for travelers, regardless of the length of your stay. Travel is ALWAYS an adventure and ALWAYS an education, whether it’s learning about foreign cultures and foods or learning about yourself.

The link to her blog is – here.

Which brings me to my free advice, there’s more a booking travel than going online and clicking some dates and hotels. I talk to several people each day, asking about what I know about this resort, or have I been here, because the pics look great and the reviews are mixed. This is exactly why you book your trips through a travel agent.

Or, maybe the weather turned bad and you need home immediately, but cannot get help through the online website you used…I help many people reschedule their trips due to weather, family emergency, etc. Travel agents can still help with these issues, IF you booked your trip with them.

The Internet is a great and wondrous thing, but too many people get taken by criminals, fake vacation companies, or just plain old scammers. Please reach out to a travel agent to help, or at least friends or family that have traveled to the same destination. Nothing worse than spending thousands of dollars on a dream vacation and upon arrival you realize it is nothing like the online photos.

So, happy traveling, but remember a few key things:

  • It costs nothing to call me and ask about your trip
  • I can give details, advice, and schedules very quickly and easily (32 years experience doing this)
  • My goal is to save you time, headaches, and money in booking your trip
  • If something does happen on vacation, you have someone on your side to help figure your best course of action

Next time you’re thinking of a vacation, give me a call, I’m happy to help!

Let’s Go Travel,

Sharon
